Extraordinary Grace: How the Unlikely Lineage of Jesus Reveals God's Amazing Love, By Gary Chapman & Chris Fabry-Book Review

Extraordinary Grace: How the Unlikely Lineage of Jesus Reveals God's Amazing Love, By Gary Chapman & Chris Fabry.
Back Cover Reads:
"God's extraordinary grace is hard to grasp-but made easier to understand through stories of God's people.
Gary Chapman and Chris Fabry search the Scriptures for examples of God's grace in lives of those nameg in Jesus' lineage, but what they find are people with faults, foibles, and sins, just like the rest of us. So obviously, grace is not about doing everything exactly right. It is a gift...an astonishing gift given by God.
In Extraordinary Grace, you will hear the call of grace; laugh because of grace; apply grace; be over taken by grace; and know extraordinary grace that comes from loving Jesus.
 Chapter studies, for individuals or groups, will help you find examples of extraordinary grace reflected in the lineage of Jesus."

Quick and easy to read, this book is wonderful.
The book is divided into nine chapters, each chapter focusing on a certain person;
Abram, Abraham, Rahab, Tamar, David, Bathsheba, Solomon, Joseph, and Jesus.
Each chapter starts of telling the story of whoever that chapter is focusing on. It then delves deeper into the story, showing you God's wonderful ways.
Gary and Chris take you through the bible and they paint you a beautiful picture of how God picks up the broken and unworthy only to shower them with grace.
The narrative flows wonderfully, and with 165 pages (including the study guide), this book can easily be finished in a few sittings. An enjoyable read for new believers and long time believers. I definitely wasn't disappointed in this book!
Without grace we are lost, and as the authors put it; Grace=God's Riches At Christ's Expense.

"I received a copy of this book from the publisher for the purpose of this review."
