About a week ago Samantha and I sheared Abilene....she looks so pretty...AND while removing her wool, we noticed her tummy was rounder than last year AND her udders felt like they were starting to develop ! SO! Fingers crossed that she's bred! We still have to shear Esmeralda (which we're planning on doing this weekend), but we checked her udders and they too felt like they were starting to develop! I'm so excited! I really hope that they both (or even one of the two) are bred!
We have turnips, mustard greens, onions, green onions, lettuce and spinach growing. We're a little behind in planting because we haven't tilled the garden yet; but since mom bought some veggie plants today I have a feeling we'll be tilling it asap.
The horses have been in the yard the past week; they love the fresh green grass!
I've been working out cleaning out one of the goats stall, we haven't really cleaned it in, well, about...fall 2011? We've skimmed of the top stuff and for sure have added fresh bedding but we never dug down.....And now it's built up so much! Yuck!! I'm almost half way down with the stall.
