Signs of Spring

The past couple days have been beautiful...I wish I could say that I got a lot of my spring 'to-do' things done, but well, I didn't.
Copper and Todd
We meant to till the garden and get it ready for planting, but...we just never really got around to it. Don't get me wrong, it's not like we wasted our days inside. We've had appointments, errands to runs, bible study, another group get together, church, and this past week my mom helped out a lady and took care of her many cats (twice a day, she fed, scooped and let them out of there cage/put them away for the night).

Mom has written out a garden planting layout and hopefully we'll be getting seeds soon (some of the seeds can be planted as early as April 15th, really, anytime now.) Fubar is getting so much better and is finally putting on weight! The animals have been loving the dry warm weather we've had this week. In the morning it's like they're torn as to if they would rather be inside eating hay our outside in the sun!

Samantha and I moved the duck house to a different part of the pen- a better spot....

Our poultry pens-well, the chickens, the ducks is fine; the chicken's outdoor run is driving my nuts. We still have to fix it from when the snow knocked it down...
Angel Wing
Samantha and I are talking about removing the crappy, ripped huge hole filled, wire top and replacing it with fishing line (to deter hawks from grabbing them).

Adelaida and Annaliese
We're also talking about putting wire over the gate (leading to the girls yard) and then letting the chickens free range...We know that the chickens can easily jump the gate/fence, but it's just a deterrent; an attempt to keep them in the yard and not in the road or with the dogs....
