Once again, Christmas Advent days 20-24

Ok, so once again, I've fallen behind in posting my Christmas Advent thing, I'm sorry, but I've been spending time with my family, watching Christmas movies, eat cookies and such...we're having our Christmas dinner on Christmas eve this year-it's the best day that works for my brother and his fiance. So, the 24th I've going to be busy cooking and such. And tomorrow I'm going to be busy cleanings and setting up the table a larger table in the living room. The dinning room table be have now barely sits 6, and with Remington and his fiance, Shea, coming over we need a lot more space for people and, of course, food!

So, I'm posting the days I have missed and those through the 24th. I'll get on and post the Christmas Day Advent...

December 20th
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.
When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written: ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’
Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.”
After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.” ~Matthew 2:1-12

SALVATION- “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” ~John 4:16
God in Heaven,
I come to You in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and that I am sorry for my sins and the life I have lived; I need Your forgiveness. With all my heart I believe that You sent Your son, Jesus Christ, to earth to die for me. Thank you Jesus for your grace that saved me from my sins. Change my life so that it pleases You and gives you glory! Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life. ~Amen~

December 21st

STRENGTH- “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” ~Philippians 4:13

Father,

This world sometimes confuses me and cause my heart and mind to fill with worries and what-ifs. And sometimes when I look in the mirror I’m not too happy with what I see. Please let me see me the way you made me, beautiful and perfect just as I am. Help me to hold this image in my mind and heart as I follow my life’s path. Allow others to witness your light shining through me as I walk with confidence, grace and a smile on my face. Give me strength Lord to know that You are always with me and through You all things are possible. ~Amen

December 22nd

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as it is in all churches of the saints.”
~1 Corinthians 14:33

ENCOURAGING- “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ~Jeremiah 29:11
God,
Thank You Lord for everything, I know that when I trust in You I don't need to fear or worry, for You are with me, right there beside me protecting me and guiding me. Teach me to be encouraging to others Lord, to give them hope, like the hope You have given me. ~Amen~

December 23rd

FEAR- “The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid?” ~Psalms 27:1

Almighty Father,
Give me strength so that when I am fearful I will remember that You are with me, protecting me and guiding me. Calm my heart and give me peace when I start to worry or fear for my or my loved ones well being. Teach me to not fear Lord. Help me see that with You by my side I have nothing to fear. ~Amen~

December 24th

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” ~John 3:16-17

JUDGING- “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.” ~Luke 6:37

Lord,
In this Christmas season it is easy to judge others, casting judgment as to why they can afford this or that; forgetting the blessing that You have given me. Please help me Lord, cleanse my judging heart. Teach me to see good, be happy and not judge God. Help me be happy for others and not cast judgment. ~Amen~
