Since my Crazy cat lady post, we've lost two kittens.
Marmalaid was moving her 1 week old kittens from a shed into the garage when, I guess she dropped a kitten long enough for Smudge to grab it...from what I hear it wasn't a pretty sight. Spencer had to end the kittens suffering.
The next kitten, Oreo, one of Brown Nosers kittens got sick....We're not sure what was wrong with her but it happened over night... She couldn't walk but a step or two before falling over. Her eyes were dialated and she wouldn't eat. We tried giving her warm milk several times a day, sometimes she'd take a sip, but most of the time she didn't....after a few days of trying to saver her she passed away last night.
And now, for the past 24 hours we havn't been able to find Alien, Blue, or Phantom; the rest of Brown Nosers kittens.....
Even though we've distanced our hearts from the barn cats (we live right next to a road, one is bound to get hit by a car), we still care for the cats, they are God's creatures.
We got a little rain yesterday, but unfortionatly we need so much more. Our fields are turning back into barren waste lands.
