OK, today is day two of the 25 days of Christmas goodies and today, I made super-duper yummy Thumbprint cookies. So, enjoy!!!
Thumbprint Cookies
Sorry again about the bad picture...I didn't realize that there wasn't a great picture until everyone ate all the cookies.
Click the link for the recipes.

Though nativity scenes suggest that there were three wise men, the bible does not say that there were specifically three. Three gifts were given, so it's assumed that there were three wise men.
Also, though Nativity scenes show the magi at the manger the bible tells other wise, after the wise men
met with King Herod, and the star the magi had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was.
"On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh." Matthew 2:11
It also goes on to say,
"When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi." Mathew 2:16
So Jesus might of been toddling around when the magi arrived....

You may be familiar with the Christmas song, The 12 days of Christmas...

On the first day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
A partridge in a pear tree.
*
On the second day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
 *
On the third day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
And the song goes on for twelve days, so, how many gifts would you get? I added it up for you...
Partridges: 1 × 12 = 12
Doves: 2 × 11 = 22
Hens: 3 × 10 = 30
Calling birds: 4 × 9 = 36
Golden rings: 5 × 8 = 40
Geese: 6 × 7 = 42
Swans: 7 × 6 = 42
Maids: 8 × 5 = 40
Ladies: 9 × 4 = 36
Lords: 10 × 3 = 30
Pipers: 11 × 2 = 22
Drummers: 12 × 1 = 12
Total = 364

Though I mention The 12 Days of Christmas, todays song of the day is O' Little Town of Bethlehem.
Christmas is a day of meaning and traditions, a special day spent in the warm circle of family and friends.  Merry Christmas!!!!!!
