Planting

Because of all the rain we couldn't get the garden planted when we normally would of, BUT (finally) the rain stopped and over this past week we finally got seeds in the ground!!!
Well, at least some of it, we still need melons, more corn ( we already has some popping up in row), along with some other things.
But either way, I'm very happy.

It's kind of funny, we had a ton of rain, making us wish for no more rain, now, we keep praying for some.

We've been working on ideas on how to make our wells efficient, at the moment we don't use them. We'd love to be able to use all that FREE water for our gardens.

Yesterday Samantha had someone out to tattoo Gemma and Annabelle for fair. It was a lot quicker than I thought it would be...and it was actually tough to watch.
Tattooing, they take the ink (green works best) and rub it on the ear, take the tattooing tool, and clamp down on the ear (the tool has you heard number on it-the numbers are made up of small...needles), they then rub more ink into the holes.
So, needless to say, the goats holler and freak out when they had this done to them-it was very sad....
