The Reason for the Season-Part 4-Final Installment

Before I begin; I know I mentioned in my Santa Claus post that I'd post this 'the next day'; well, the next day (aka, yesterday) I was busy and didn't find sitting at the computer worth the effort to make time so; here I am blogging this blog the day after I said I would-sorry.

Reconciliation is the restoration of peace. Peace with God, peace with others and peace in your own heart. It quiets quarrels. It swaps your stress for Gods serenity.
But the spirit of reconciliation seems to be in short supply today.
Jesus is the prince of peace
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 NIV
Rudeness not goodwill is on the increase. Is peace on earth even possible? There are two causes of conflict, one is natural self-centeredness. The other is, no human being can fully meet all your needs. That job my friends, is for God.
Don't blame others for your unmet needs!
"What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? 2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God." James 4:1-2 NIV.
If the world prayed as much as it complained we'd have less to quarrel about and much more peace of mind.
"Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks." Philippians 4:6 NCV
Jesus came at Christmas to bring us three kinds of peace'
peace with God, the peace of God, and peace with others.
It's astounding so many people celebrate Christmas every year with out ever opening the gift God gave us. Wrapped up in Jesus are blessings and so much more!!
In Jesus, your past is forgotten, you get a purpose for living, and your get a home in heaven.
Why celebrate Christmas if you're not going to open the biggest ans bestest gift of all?? It doesn't matter what your religious back ground is, or, if you even have a religion.

God didn't send Jesus to bring us religion! He came to make a relationship possible!!!

                                   ~*~*A Christmas Prayer*~*~
Loving God, Help us remember the birth of Jesus, that we may share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and worship of the wise men. Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting. Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clear hearts. May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children, and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus' sake. Amen.-- Robert Louis Stevenson

Well; I hope this series has brought to mind the reason for the season. It's easy to get caught up in decorating and buying gifts! Start a new tradition if you don't already have this one-be it from the bible or a children's book; READ THE BIRTH OF CHRIST on Christmas Eve!!!

Also; though I'd love to take all credit for this information in these four posts; I can't. I took notes from a great book called, The Purpose of Christmas, By Rick Warren.

Merry Christmas and God bless my dear blog readers!
