The Reason for the Season -Part 1

Christmas is the largest celebration around the world each and every year.
Where other holidays get but a single day, Christmas is celebrated an spread over an entire month; one twelfth of every year.
During Christmas season, billions of people set aside their normal routines to decorate their homes, send out greeting cards, buy gifts, go to Christmas parties, attended church services, sing songs all about Christmas, watch TV specials, and travel across the country to be with their families. Christmas sights and sounds fill the air everywhere, there are even careers that are dedicated to celebrating Christmas.
In you were an alien and came to earth, there's no way you could miss it, Christmas is everywhere!
It's kind of funny to think about, the whole world cause such a commotion over the birth of a peasant boy born two thousand years ago in the Middle East.
Because of Jesus Christ, history is divided into BC-Before Christ, and AD-which, when I was younger I though stood for After Death, but it actually means, Anno Domini (in the year of the lord). Every event in history is dated by how many years, weeks and days it's been since Jesus appeared on Earth.
That night, when Jesus was born, changed everything.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,  “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. Luke 2:8-20 NIV.

"Great Joy for all people" Really? Ha, have you been to the stores? It seems to me that most people are stressed and find Christmas a hassle rather than a source of happiness. "Christmas" people make it about how much money you have; how much you can give, how much you can decorate, how perfect everything is...No wonder a lot of people get depressed around this season...

Regardless of your background and religion, Christmas is really the best news you could get.

Beneath is all Christmas is Gods gift to us. It's the most expensive gift you will ever receive. It's priceless., and this gift will last forever. This gift gave you a heavenly father (before Christ, the bible never refers to God as father). When Jesus was born, like all of us, he was born with a purpose, but unlike us, he was pure and innocent, he was born to take our sins and save us from Hell. Jesus was and is the son of God, and he was born to die...to die for OUR sins.

Christmas is a time for celebration, salvation and reconciliation! Merry CHRISTmas!!!
